We all have those mornings where we just don’t feel like waking up.
But what if you had an adorable dog waking you up, ready to play? That would make it a lot easier for me to wake up! And one man is living that dream.
Meet Grey, an adorable pit-bull that acts like a child on Christmas morning waking up her owners as early as 4 am! She has been developing a little habit of waking up her owner in the wee hours of the morning by making noises that sound really similar to a cat’s “meowing”.
It’s as cute as you think.
Her dad decided to record a video of it happening and uploaded it to YouTube in 2014. The absolutely adorable act has since gone viral and we don’t know what to think if our dogs acted this way![rsnippet id=”4″ name=”DFP/34009881/Article_1″][rsnippet name=”universal-likebox” multi-site=”true”]
In the video you can see that Grey makes her first attempt at the far too early time of 4:57 am.
Dad is obviously not pleased with waking up that early and does a “snooze veto”.
Grey gives him a 15 minute break before returning again. Sadly, it’s still too early for Dad to wake up again and he snoozes again. Grey leaves to go entertain herself for another 15 minutes. Then Grey makes her final return at 5:30 am which is when Dad finally relents and gets up.
Grey gets SO excited to play! She’s the happiest dog in the world at that moment.Hilariously, at the end of the video you can even see another dog quietly looking out the window! I didn’t even see it the first time!
And what do you know, the sounds she makes sound a lot like meowing! It’s absolutely adorable.
Grey is so reliable that her Dad just uses her as an alarm clock now. Every morning she comes in at 5 am to wake him up. He snoozes her and then she comes back another 15 minutes later.
If you’re like me, your first guess was that she probably needed to go outside, but actually according to Dad this isn’t true at all!
Please don’t worry about her needing us to let her outside. She has a dog door and full access to the backyard, so this is just to get some attention or for some play time.
