The loved ones of 18-year-old Anna Kepner are now breaking their silence on the shock and pain linked to finding her remains inside her room aboard a luxury cruise earlier this month.
‘We were hoping to see her grow and transform into this inspiring and loving individual, but little did we know that her death would come so soon,’ they revealed tragically.
Her grandmother says, ‘I cannot fathom why anyone would want to hurt my baby!’ Anna, who is a high school senior and cheerleader from Florida, was found dead inside her stateroom aboard the Carnival Horizon.
The authorities are yet to go public with the cause of her death, but her stepbrother is believed to be a suspect in her passing away.
The family spoke about how they operated separate staterooms on the ship and how Anna was sharing two more teens, including her stepbrother.
They mentioned how the family is exceptionally close, and it’s all family right now. They cannot imagine that someone from their own could hurt her, as both of them were brother and sister and had blended in as one.
Security videos from the ship show how the boy was the only one seen going in and only one going out of the shared cabin. When asked who would be responsible, they replied that the court would be the one deciding this.
