A teenage passenger who passed away under mysterious circumstances on a carnival cruise ship was described as the most loving, energetic, and smart student.
She constantly got straight A grades and had high hopes of joining the military, her family shared. Anna Kepner was only 18 when she and her loved ones thought it would be a great idea to travel as a family on the Carnival Horizon. The cruise returned to Miami from the Caribbean on Saturday when she died.
The instances surrounding her death were yet to be shared as authorities are slowly releasing details, including exactly when she died or with whom she happened to be traveling.
Her grief-stricken family has since paid tribute to her as a happy teenager affectionately called Anna Banana. She was a people person, her family shared with ABC News. She loved being around people, as her energy drew you in with her smile and the way she carried herself. She was an easy person to talk to.
The teenager who had been set to graduate from high school in May just started the necessary preparations to join the military. But little did anyone know that she would never be able to witness that day.
