Tragic reports have confirmed the death of a 45-year-old British socialite named Ben Duncan.

According to local media outlets, he appeared on the UK’s Big Brother show in 2010 and was said to be a close friend of Prince William and Princess Kate. The tragedy arose when he fell approximately 100 feet from a rooftop bar at the Trafalgar St. James Hotel in London.

The fall took place shortly before 11 pm local time in the Westminster Area. Police are believed to have responded immediately after a distress call was made regarding the incident.

Witnesses reported concerns for a man on the roof and later found that Duncan had fallen from a height. The cops described this as unexpected but specified that it was non-suspicious later on. Despite efforts by ambulance crews, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
