Former British royal Prince Andrew is facing intense pressure from American lawmakers to testify before Congress regarding his connections with convicted s*x offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The calls come from members of the US House Oversight Committee who are urging him to come forward if he says he’s not done anything wrong.
They are calling for a potential remote testimony with legal representation and in private if needed.
“If he really thinks that he’s innocent and wishes to clear his name, then he needs to come forward!”- sources mentioned. Andrew should also volunteer to do it himself, without anyone adding pressure, if he thinks he’s clean.
The renewed scrutiny follows the decision that was laid down by King Charles III to strip Andrew of his Prince title amid ongoing concerns over his links to Epstein.
Court documents shared how Andrew emailed Epstein in April of 201o, months after Epstein’s prior conviction was done. The duo was pictured together in New York later that same year. Currently, UK authorities are reviewing whether or not Andrew misused police resources to attain private data from his accuser, Virginia Giuffre, who passed away after taking her own life in April this year.
