US Vice President JD Vance was seen addressing serious concerns at a recent Turning Point USA event that sparked serious accusations that he had thrown his wife under the bus.
He had mentioned before yesterday how he hopes that his wife eventually accepts Christianity, as she’s a firm devotee of Hinduism. This led to a pushback of religious sensitivity and interfaith dynamics.
Many slammed the US Vice President as racist and felt it was just plain and wrong to ask your wife to leave her religion for your sake.
That’s when Vance appeared online and started to defend himself on social media. Today, he posted on X how he never forced or wants his wife to convert. He emphasized how his wife was the one who told him to reengage with his faith a few years back. Vance mentioned how he will continue to love, cherish, and support his wife for years to come, regardless of her religious beliefs.
He also mentioned how the pair share a great bond of love, friendship, and understanding. He hopes to maintain conversations with her regarding faith as well.
During that event, Vance explained how he met his wife at a time when they were both atheist and agnostic. Now, his wife attends church with him most Sundays, and he loves that about her. He expressed again how he does hope she might share his beliefs but will never enforce anything upon her.
