U.
S. President Donald Trump has issued a warning that he would be endorsing attacks on Hamas, effectively breaking the ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian group, if it threatens to target gangs and alleged Israeli collaborators in the region.
Trump issued a statement through his Truth Social account where he warned that he would be endorsing attacks on Hamas if they failed to disarm. He also added that breaking the ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian group means it would continue to target gangs and alleged Israeli collaborators in Gaza.
‘We will be left with no choice but to go and kill them if Hamas keeps killing people in Gaza, which was not part of the deal’- Trump continued.
In an interaction with the press before this, Trump shared how he hopes that he would not have to, but it appears that things might be getting there.
‘There are people very close, very nearby that will go in and they will do the trick very easily, but under our supervision,’- he added in an apparent reference to Israel, without naming the nation he was hinting at.
The threats against Hamas seem to signal that the peace deal is not working out as planned, and a ceasefire might soon come to an end. The threats from Hamas seem to be signaling more about the group’s crackdown than anything else in the Palestinian territory.
