Britney Spears’ sons claim that the singer would watch them as they slept with a knife in her hand as per the father Kevin Federline’s bombshell new book.

The 47-year-old father of two relayed the knife incident, which he mentioned happened more than once inside his latest book, You Thought You Knew, which was excerpted by the New York Times.

They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep. ‘Oh, you’re awake, with a knife in her hand’- Federline wrote.

Then he mentioned how she would turn around and pad off without any kind of explanation, leaving her to wonder what exactly was going on. Federline and Spears were married from 2004 to 2007 and endured a messy custody battle over their sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Moreover, a rep for Spears did not reply immediately to the request for comments.  Spears’ relationship with the boys has been fraught over the years, though she did share a picture of her reuniting with Jayden on Instagram in June, and mentioned to PEOPLE in 2023 that becoming a mom and starting a family was a dream come true for her.
