Six people have reportedly been killed after Israeli forces opened fire on suspects they say approached soldiers near an agreed-upon ceasefire line in northern Gaza on Tuesday.
The military shared several suspects who were identified and were shot at to remove the threat due to a violation of the ceasefire agreement. As per health authorities, six people were declared dead across two separate incidents.
The news comes a day after Donald Trump vowed to rebuild Gaza after Israel and Hamas exchanged hostages and detainees on Monday, bringing a brutal two-year conflict in the enclave to an end.
The American President hailed a new start for an entirely beautiful Middle East after his peace deal was signed in Egypt alongside Western and Arab leaders.
But speaking to reporters after his summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, he avoided taking a stance on a Palestinian state.
“I am not talking about single state or double state or two-state. We are talking about the rebuilding of Gaza,” he continued. It was only today that Israel’s National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, was denounced for storming the Al-Aqsa compound inside Jerusalem. It marked the second time the minister had done this in a week, accompanied by Israeli settlers.
