Tragic reports have confirmed the death of a veteran skydiving instructor who passed away after getting separated from his student.
Sources from a local media outlet confirmed how Justin Spidey Fuller, who was only 35, ended up dying during a tandem jump with a student when his harness equipment became caught on the edge of the plane, causing him to become torn from the rig and enter into a free-fall motion.
First responders recovered his remains after rescuing the student, who landed safely but became stuck in the tree for several hours near Ashland City Highway.
The recovered equipment was not broken or faulty, investigations carried out at the initial time revealed.
Go Skydiving Nashville, which had organized this jump, confirmed how the equipment was meticulously maintained. A friend shared through social media how his infectious approach to life would always be remembered and cherished for years to come.
‘The way you were there for people, the impact you had on them, and your infectious positive approach to life would be remembered forever’- the post continued.
The second skydiver was reportedly alert, awake, and in stable condition after being suspended for hours, and he was brought down from the tree with a pulley. He was then taken to the hospital as a precaution, but is otherwise said to be doing just fine.
