President Trump claimed on Tuesday that it would be a huge insult to the US if he were not given the Nobel Peace Prize.
At a rare gathering event featuring top military commanders of the US, Trump used this specific platform to mention more about his usual rhetoric of attacking political rivals and making some bold claims about his own accomplishments.
He argued that he deserved a Nobel Peace Prize due to his claim that he would have solved eight wars since the start of his second term.
He referenced the peace plan for the Israel-Hamas conflict that he unveiled on Monday. He also mentioned that if militant group Hamas agrees to this deal, he would have solved eight wars.
‘So if this does work out, we will have eight on the board in just eight months. These are pretty good statistics. Nobody has ever come close to doing that’- he added.
‘Will you get the Nobel Peace Prize?’ Absolutely Not. They will be giving it to some other guy who did not do a damn thing. They will give it to a person who wrote a book about the mind of Donald Trump, and what it appears like is that he tried to solve wars, Trump mentioned.
‘But we will see what happens, and it’s going to be a big insult to our nation. I will tell you that I don’t want it. I want the nation to get it. We should get it because there’s never been anything like this done before’ – he continued to argue.
