Rebecca Conklin was breastfeeding her 15-month-old baby son to sleep when she noticed something rather unusual.
As he drifted off, she gently unlatched him and clasped her bra, only to spot blood on his chin. When she appeared to look closer, she realized how he had bitten her nipple.
‘I am at the ER right now because my son accidentally bit off my nipple and it’s like hanging on’- she mentioned in her now viral video. ‘It does not hurt, but I don’t know, I was told to rush to the ER’- the mom of one shared.
Conklin immediately called her OB-GYN, who instructed her to head to the ER and Once she had arrived, doctors mentioned that there was not much that they could do beyond providing pads, tape, and ointment since the wound would heal on its own like a scab.

That same day, she also made a tough call to wean her son from breastfeeding.
For the mother, the weirdest bit had to do with the fact that she felt no pain.

‘My son honestly did not bite much, so I never thought this would happen. But of course, he has 12 teeth, and they are so sharp.
‘I asked if this injury would prevent me from being able to breastfeed future children, and they said it was a possibility’ – she recalled, and that’s why she’s warning other mothers to be careful, despite doctors reassuring her that it would heal just fine.
