The widow of Charlie Kirk made an emotional gesture during her late husband’s memorial service yesterday.
Earlier this month, the MAGA activist and Turning Point USA leader was fatally shot while speaking at the Utah Valley University campus.
The 31-year-old left behind his partner, Erika Kirk, and their two young children. His funeral unfolded at the home of the NFL team Arizona Cardinals, over the weekend.
This was right in front of tens of thousands of supporters and MAGA dignitaries, with tributes paid out by President Trump and his VP JD Vance, alongside heartbroken Mrs. Kirk.
There was a certain moment during her speech that stood out, and that’s when she gave an emotional gesture featuring her left fingers in a certain manner and pointed them towards the sky. Now, many wondered what exactly that meant, as it was unique, to say the least.
As per Lingvano, Kirk performed the ‘I Love You’ gesture. To do that in American Sign Language, you need to form an L using your thumb and index finger, keeping them extended, and then you lift your little finger.
The middle and ring fingers need to continue touching the palm, and finally, you direct your hand towards the person you’d like to address. In this way, she was sending a message to her beloved husband waiting for her in heaven as she aimed her hand upward.
