Allies were seen speaking about his desperate stance to prevent Donald Trump and restore democracy. The 78-year-old Terminator movie superstar and former Republican governor of California has recently become so vocal about his fears for the future of the USA following the assassination of Charlie Kirk in Utah.
Friends of the Hollywood superstar mentioned how the murder sharpened his determination to confront political violence and the long list of deep divisions tearing the nation apart.
Divisions he called out were due to both parties, the media, and President Trump himself. Speaking at the University of Southern California, he warned that it’s time to be so careful so that we don’t get closer to that cliff. ‘Because if you do fall down that cliff, there is no more democracy.
We need to be very, very careful about this whole situation. I think it’s so important that we turn this whole thing around and we show people power’- he added.
‘Because people can turn this whole thing around, the people are the ones having the ultimate power,’- he added.
One longtime Republican strategist mentioned: ‘Arnold was telling people close to him that he cannot just sit back and watch Trump bulldoze the democracy. He knows the Constitution bars him from running for the presidency, but he is so desperate to find a path, whether that’s lobbying for reform or making use of his star power to rally voters against Trump!’
