Grammy-winning music producer Sidney Omen Brown has passed away at the age of 49.
The news has left the entire music industry in shock and grief, as he was a renowned name in the industry. This includes being the producer for several superstars such as Drake, Lil Wayne, and Beyoncé.
Brown is said to have passed away in Harlem, New York City, on an unknown date. His body was discovered by a family member, who happened to be his mother. She is the first one to confirm his death to the media outlet TMZ.
As per the outlet, a relative found his remains inside his apartment on Saturday after employees alerted the family that he had not shown up for his usual shift at work. Now, details on the cause and circumstances surrounding his death have not been shared at this moment in time. Barawine Harlem, which is a known bar in New York City, wrote in a statement on the news, as it used to be a place where the star worked.
It was mentioned in a story on Instagram how shocking and tragic the news was. ‘Ome was a part of this team at Barawine for more than a decade.
