Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer justified his actions by stating that some hatred cannot be negotiated with, FBI Director Kash Patel has confirmed.
The embattled head of the bureau, who soon faces a grilling session from the Senate over his handling of the investigation, shared the shocking motive of the 22-year-old shooter named Tyler Robinson.
‘I will say what was found in terms of information, a text message exchange, where the suspect specifically stated that he had the chance to take out Charlie Kirk and he was going to do that’- Patel mentioned to Fox News.
Patel added that when Robinson was questioned why he would kill the conservative influencer, he replied by mentioning that some hatred cannot be negotiated with. Robinson will be appearing in court today, where he is expected to be charged with Kirk’s death.
The investigation, as per Patel, has featured witness interviews between both the FBI and local and regional officers from law enforcement, where they found Robinson essentially admitted to the killing of Kirk.
DNA from the towel that was used to wrap the firearm, which was used to kill Kirk, also showed a match for the suspect, Patel added. He also tempered concerns about how long details pertaining to the investigation might take, saying that he won’t stylize the evidence, but that data would come out soon.
