Silicon Valley is making efforts to step in and do more for the community after the killing of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, whose murder shocked the entire nation.
Eoghan McCabe, who is the CEO and founder of Intercom, was seen donating $500,000 to commission murals of Zarutska’s face in different cities in the USA.
‘I am offering $500k in a shocking $10,000 grant to paint murals of the face of Iryna Zarutska in different major cities of the US’- he shared.
But even before that, the campaign was given a boost after billionaire Elon Musk offered a staggering $1 million to have her murals displayed across the nation, which he referred to as a noble cause.
This really caught the attention of many people around the USA, as outrage around the country and over the globe arose over the chilling and cold-blooded killing on a massive transportation network.
One person who was working for the campaign spoke to Fox News Digital under the condition of anonymity. They shared more about how they are currently in talks with thousands of artists around the nation and are closely looking for the right locations for these kinds of murals.
There are also poster campaigns in the works, which would appear in different US cities.
