Singing superstar Lady Gaga seemed to unleash mayhem with her performance at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The celeb was called out for her bizarre performance that featured her in a bold red outfit with women locked in cages, below her. Many wondered what the idea behind the unique theatrical tricks came from, while some called her out for bringing spooky season too early at this time of the year.
The 14-time Grammy winner did not perform live and had to pre-record her performance for Sunday night as she was due to perform at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
The star was seen rushing out of the arena to make it out on time, despite being a big winner for that evening. The event was believed to be back-to-back with the VMAs, and Gaga, who already cancelled one of her previous concerts at the last moment, was not going to let this one go down the drain for her fans.
The performance was electrifying as usual. She sang and danced to Abracadabra where the Grammy Winner appeared on a stage designed to appear like a grand opera house while dressed in a blood red Elizabethan ball gown.
This entailed a towering skirt that parted to reveal caged dancers beneath. Some conspiracy theorists felt it was an act of the devil and one linked to satanic worship. This is why they blasted the star to do better next time.
