Greta Thunberg’s famous Flotilla vessel was reportedly set on fire with all activists on board.
Reports of a possible drone attack were also made, but those were called out to be baseless rumors by the Tunisian authorities, who claim no activity of drones was recorded in the region.
The authorities further went on to speak about how the fire broke out on the vessel itself, and there was no evidence of any sabotage or drone attack being carried out. This is moments after the group alleged that they were under official attack and even put out claims that they witnessed a drone that came right above them.
‘The drone released a bomb, and that exploded, and the boat was on fire’- one person shared. Greta then shared another update about how the fire took place on the front of the vessel, but they are all okay, and the fire is out.
The UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories was happened to be at the port and mentioned how they have no clue who carried out this attack, but it would not be surprising to them at all if Israel was indeed the ones behind it.
‘If that is confirmed, then it would be an attack on Tunisian sovereignty’- the post read. Thunberg is part of the controversial convoy of nearly 350 activists and aid workers, sailing on what they called a very peaceful mission to deliver supplies to Palestinians in Gaza.
