It’s quite evident that Donald Trump is not a fan of the late-night shows.
The US President has made it clear that after cancelling Stephen Colbert, next on the list are Kimmel and Fallon. The news has left many viewers upset, as that’s one show they really adore.
The President was seen doubling down on Wednesday on how the late-night hosts Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel are next on the chopping block to be cancelled, revealing the shocking news during a press conference.
This was when one reporter asked him to comment on reports about Howard Stern and how he might be parting ways with Sirius XM after his contract comes to an end. With that in mind, Glenn asked if the ‘Hate Trump’ entertainment model was losing popularity with Americans.
Trump cited CBS, adding how the recent cancellations of The Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert were a great example, and added that he now believes Fallon and Kimmel are next.
Trump added that the model is yet to work, and it has not worked for a long time. ‘I would say pretty much from the start. Colbert had no talent. I mean, I could take anybody here. I could go out in the beautiful streets and pick a few people who do just as well or better. They would get higher ratings than he would. He has no talent’- Trump continued.
