Lizzo has decided to weigh in on the controversy linked to the American Eagle campaign fronted by Sydney Sweeney by sharing a political meme featuring herself.

The news comes after 27-year-old actress Sweeney and denim brand American Eagle rolled out a controversial ad that seemed to have rubbed many people the wrong way, even if that was not their intention.

The brand and star were accused of pushing Nazi-like eugenics as aspirational in this campaign designed to lure Gen Z clients.

Sources shared that ‘Genes are passed from the parents to the children, often giving rise to various physical traits such as hair color, personality, and even eye color. Sydney even mentioned in the commercial how her jeans were blue.

In response, Lizzo, who has more than 44 million social media followers, shared a photoshopped meme featuring herself in a similar pose with the caption: ‘My jeans are black!’- and she did receive plenty of reactions.
