Extreme athlete Felix Baumgartner passed away in a horrifying incident in Italy recently.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to share about how the sportsman from Australia was only 56 and was continuing on one of his usual daring adventures. But little did he know that destiny would have other plans for him.
The star lost control of his aircraft during a paragliding event yesterday in Marche. This caused him to crash into a pool at the Le Mimose campsite after feeling unwell before he took off.
A woman was also left injured in that incident after getting struck by him when he fell to the ground. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, but her condition is out of danger at this moment in time.
Sources mentioned how he had taken off from Fermo, but while he was flying over the coast, for reasons that are yet to be investigated, he suddenly lost all control of the hang glider. As a result, he crashed and lost consciousness and went into an immediate state of cardiac arrest.
Some people shared how there was just too much wind that day, and the fact that he was not feeling well was another sign that perhaps it was not the best day to fly.
