Fans blasted a new bronze statue of Sofia Vergara, unveiled inside her hometown.

The massive sculpture left many stunned and speechless after it was inaugurated on the riverfront promenade of the Colombian city of Barranquilla on July 1, which was the star’s 53rd birthday.

While the giant art piece was supposed to pay tribute to her, people were convinced that this was a joke, as it appeared from what the celeb looks like.

The enormous tribute to the Hollywood star stands a whopping 24 feet tall and weighs nearly 5.5 tonnes. It was produced by a renowned sculptor by the name of Yino Marquez, who spent seven long months working on this at his workshop.

He was assisted by six young students and graduates from the local art school. But despite the long efforts and hard work that he put into it, the statue failed to impress and left many desiring more.

Most claimed it appeared nothing like her and demanded it get demolished as it was an insult. Others went so far as to call it an accurate representation of Jessica Rabbit.
