Tragic reports are speaking about the final conversation that took place between the pilots before the Air India passenger plane came crashing down.
The preliminary investigation report speaks about how there was confusion in the cockpit during the final minutes.
One of the pilots asked the other why they had switched off the fuel control switches to the engines, starving them of power and therefore halting them from gaining thrust.
The other pilot boldly shared how they had not switched them off. As per the reports, the switches had been moved from the run to the cutoff position moments before impact.
The report was shared by India’s AAIB, which failed to offer any kind of conclusions or apportion blame for the disaster that took away the lives of so many innocent passengers.
260 people were killed in the aftermath, and only one passenger managed to make it out alive. The fact that the report shared how the switch was flipped three seconds after takeoff is now really making one wonder if it was a mistake or a deliberate action, as the usual protocol is not to touch them. Many Indians have lashed out at Boeing for failing to take responsibility for a possible technical error and blaming the incident on the pilots who are no longer in this world.
