Worried migrants have made the tough decision to flee from shelters located in New York City as Donald Trump is all set to take power today.
Migrants who were bundled up inside the shelters are very jittery over the matter related to the promised ICE raids that Trump made yesterday during his rally.
One migrant from Venezuela shared how it was better to leave before Trump’s inauguration as they feared the worst outcome.
He also added that he would be better off making arrangements somewhere else but failed to disclose where that would be.
There was one migrant from Manhattan who shared that there was a new kind of fear gripping his shelter.
There was not a lot that he or anyone else could do. Other migrants were just so upset at the sudden dim prospects put up in front of them and they didn’t know how to handle it.
Many now feel scared and anxious about getting deported with Trump in charge. It’s not something that they’re looking forward to but also have zero choice.
‘It’s going to be a massive raid across the nation’- Trump shared. There are many ICE field offices scattered in America and New York City and Chicago are definitely on the top of the list.
