A 20-year-old woman in Norfolk gave birth to a healthy child at home within the first 2 months of her pregnancy.
Erin Hogg, a resident of Virginia, gave birth to her second child at home. According to Erin, she didn’t have any pregnancy symptoms during the previous 6 weeks. Surprisingly, she had her periods on time as well despite being pregnant with a daughter.
Erin visited The Queen Elizabeth Hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia, the same morning. During the checkup, the doctors informed her about her 2nd pregnancy. They discharged her after assuring her that nothing was wrong and her pregnancy was going perfectly fine. Her firstborn was 15 months old at that time.
The 20-year-old revealed that during that checkup, she asked for a scan too. It was one day before she gave birth to her daughter. No one in the hospital cared to pay heed to her request for a scan. After acknowledging her about the pregnancy and some initial tests, they asked her to leave the hospital. Later in an interview, Erin disclosed that she even suffered from COVID 19 and had her dose of vaccine all during her pregnancy.
On August 10, 2021, Erin called an ambulance due to severe excruciating pains. She rushed to the toilet and thought that the pains were due to constipation.
Minutes later, she delivered her second child, Piper Summersgill. The weight of the baby was 6 pounds and seven ounces at the time of birth. Later, Erin went to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn for proper blood transfusions. Sources confirmed that she lost a considerable amount of blood during her sudden labor.
An official complaint against the hospital staff has been placed by the mother as well. The police are investigating, and the findings will be shared with everyone soon. On the other side, little Piper Summersgill will visit her grandparents in Scotland soon. Her 15-months-old brother is also excited about it.
