More than 50 pizza chefs came together to show off their skills in Oxford Street, London.
People gathered in Oxford Street, London when they saw 54 pizzaiolos throwing the pizza dough in unison.

PizzaExpress’ first restaurant opened in London’s Wardour Street 54 years ago and recently, they opened its new Langham Place, Oxford Circus pizzeria.
To celebrate this, chefs from across the country came together in Oxford Street, London to wow the onlookers with their skills.
Nicolle Collelouri, a pizzaiolo at the St Martin’s Lane PizzaExpress restaurant, said: “It’s been an incredible experience. Synchronizing our timing was quite a challenge — and doing it in the few seconds we had when the traffic stopped really added to the complexity.”
“We’re so pleased we managed to make it happen and the photos should look amazing.”
Another pizzaiolo at the Euston PizzaExpress restaurant named Joao Ferrari said: “I was so excited when I heard about this opportunity and couldn’t wait to get involved. I love pizza-flaring and have been doing this for five years.”
“Though I must say this really put my skills to the test – I can’t wait to see the video.”
Managing director at PizzaExpress, Zoe Bowley said that the founder Peter Boizot introduced pizza to the UK in Wardour Street in 1965.
He said they were celebrating the 54 years of its completion and there was no better way than showcasing their 54 pizzaiolos from across the country.
He said: “Peter leaves behind a wonderful legacy, which sees friends, families and loved ones enjoying pizza and good times together in our sociable pizzerias, every day, across the globe.”
“Today, 54 years on, we celebrate the special opening of PizzaExpress Langham Place, Oxford Circus – which is also the first to test our new brand proposition.”
“So, what better way to mark this celebratory occasion, than by bringing the art of pizza flaring to the streets like never before, as showcased by our 54 pizzaiolos from across the country”.
