We all have that moment when we get too excited and end up buying way too many tomatoes. So, even though tomatoes can be used in a variety of recipes, we sometimes find ourselves with one or two tomatoes that just can’t be used.
Instead of throwing them away, however, why not use this opportunity to grow your own tomato plant? Not only will you be reducing food waste, you will also be saving money by growing your own tomatoes!
All you need is these three things: a pot, some soil, and a tomato that’s been sitting in the fridge for a while now.
Once you get them, follow the steps to get an unlimited supply of tomatoes in just two weeks.
Sure, you may think that growing a plant is difficult, but the steps are super easy for you to follow!
FIRST, cut a tomato into four slices, then place them onto a pot of compost.
Each slices can be about quarter-inch thick.
THEN, throw some soil over the tomatoes. Make sure this layer of dirt is thin enough for the plant to sprout.
Of course, don’t forget to water the pot.
In about 7 to 14 days, you will find yourself with 50 to 60 tomato seedlings.
Once you have enough seedlings, just pull out the larger ones and plant them into a different pot.
Wait for the seedlings to grow, and that’s about it.
