It is the law of nature, everything that is born has to die one day, but the law is never enough to cremate the condiments of the closed ones of the deceased. The law does not only apply to the human species but it affects many other species. But just like humans, elephants are also social animals and they are very close to us when it comes to express their grief over the death of a loved one.

Elephants are giant creatures that need a heard or a family of several of their kind to survive through life. Living in a heard it is obvious to develop a love for each member of the heard and even for the members who are just related to the herd. Elephants tend to show love as well as their sorrows in quite a similar mode as humans do.
