A Man Rolled A 2,000-Pound Bath Bomb Into The Swimming Pool


Bath bombs are hard-packed mixtures of dry ingredients which produce bubbles when wet.

They are used to add essential oils, scent, bubbles or color to bathwater. Soap and cosmetic companies are creating unique bath bombs that attract customers and they can’t stop themselves buying one.

“This dissolving process has left the most reserved of adults enthralled, prompting them to take pictures of their bath bomb water and share them on social media,” reports Urban Agenda Magazine.

The bath bomb was invented in 1989 by Lush Cosmetics co-founder Mo Constantine and the original bath bomb was patented by the Constantines in 1989 under the brand name ‘Cosmetics To Go.point 160 | point 167 | 1

On June 9, 2018, Mama Pearson made the record with a bath bomb weighing 198.64 pounds.

The owner Amie Pearson said: “I feel awesome,” 

“I feel so happy. I’m over the moon happy.”

Vat19 uploaded a YouTube video of the incredible moment that surprised everyone. The video starts with Vat19 asking the viewers “How big would the [bath] bomb need to be to blackout an entire swimming pool?” They guess an answer soon after: “How about 2,000 pounds?”

The crew used 31 fifty-pound bags of corn starch, citric acid, baking soda, and black dye as ingredients for their gigantic bath bomb.

Since their bath bomb was so large, they also had to construct their own mold. The video shows them using Epoxy and Fiberglass to make two half domes for their creation. They first filled up the bottom portion, added the top, drilled a hole in the middle, and packed the rest of the baking soda mixture in.

They left the bomb overnight to set. The next day, the crew cut the mold off the pool bomb in the hope that everything would stay in place.
