A young boy was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison after brutally attacking his friend with a knife because he lost to him in a computer game.
14-year-old Vasya Turda from Ukraine is a tycoon’s son who invited his 15-year-old friend Vasya Pop over to his father’s mansion in order to show him the new games his dad has bought for him.
After playing the games for several hours, however, Turda sliced Pop’s neck and stabbed him 27 times because he lost against him.
“He stabbed my son with a knife,” the murdered boy’s father, Mikhail Pop, said.
“He had 27 stab wounds, his head almost severed, his neck cut from ear to ear. This was the first strike, the experts told me. Then he abused the corpse.”
According to the grieving family, the 14-year-old assailant is a “maniac” with complete disregard for other people’s lives.
As the court heard before sentencing the criminal to over three years in prison, the tensions between the boys most likely arose after Turda lost in a computer game his father bought for him.
“Vasily Turda attacked his mate when they played on a console on the second floor,” one witness said.
After getting his neck sliced, Pop attempted to flee the mansion by running to the ground floor. There, however, the 14-year-old has caught up to him before stabbing him dozens of times.
Defending the actions of the son of a wealthy businessman, the court heard allegations claiming that the victim provoked Turda into attacking by resorting to “unlawful violence, systematic harassment or grievous insult.”
