That is why it is a bit surprising for a petite 11-year-old girl to sing one of The King of Rock and Roll’s songs and totally nail it.
Angelina Jordan was only eight years old when she won first place in the 2014 season of Norway’s Go Talent. She performed classic jazz pieces, including “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Gloomy Sunday.” Since then, she has appeared on television in the U.K. and the U.S. She became an international singing sensation, and her online videos have millions of views.
During the performance filmed at the fortress in Halden, Angelina amazed the audience with her performance of Elvis Presley’s famous song “It’s Now Or Never.” She sang in the center of the people, wearing a light-colored dress and a crown of flowers. The audiences were captivated as soon as she hit the first line of the song.
In addition to her talent and young age, another thing most people notice about Angelina is that she always performs barefoot. According to the singer, it is a part of her formative experiences. She met a young orphan who recently lost her mother. Angelina felt the difficulties she had experienced, so she gave the girl her shoes.
During her performance in Halden, the audiences were so delighted to hear Angelina sing the classic of Elvis. Cameras were able to capture some of the people swaying and singing along to the music. What the audience did not expect, however, was the depth and maturity of the eleven-year-old’s voice. Most kids her age are playing with coloring books and action figures.
A student at the Oslo Waldorf School, Angelina continues her vocal training. She also plays musical instruments, including violin, flute, and piano. The little girl has had numerous lucky breaks and was able to grab those opportunities. We will all be hearing more about her as she grows up!
