A mother from Benton, Newcastle has been left frightened after scrolling through photos on her phone.
She discovered someone, or something, took a photo of her while she was in bed without her consent.
Debra Demetriou felt scared after discovering one photo of her taken from the bottom of her bed, giving her chills that shot up her spine. She said that her oldest son left for work 45 minutes before the photo was taken, and her other child was with his dad.
“There was nobody else in the house at the time. I was completely freaked out,” Debra expressed.
The full-time mother said that the house was locked and there were no signs of a break-in.
“I know you shouldn’t, but my phone had been under my pillow when I fell asleep,” she said. “It was still there the next morning.
“I held down the picture to see the movement, and you can see both my arms are by my side so it couldn’t even have been a selfie.
“And my eyes are half-open – if someone else had been in the room I’m sure I would have noticed them.
I’m absolutely convinced nobody else was in the house.”
Paranormal investigator Sammy Rawlinson checked the photo and admitted it was ‘spooky’.
“Spirits do things to get our attention,” the Stockton psychic said. “If someone has passed in the last year it could be them trying to get her attention.”
Debra said that she had lost her parents, but not recently. She revealed that it is not the first time something strange has occurred.
Some photos from her son’s last birthday had ‘ghosts’ of deceased family members, according to a clairvoyant.
By making the photo public, Debra hopes that someone will be able to provide the right answers.
“It wasn’t my son, as he isn’t that sort of boy plus he was at work,” she added. “And the picture wasn’t even there that morning and nobody else even has a key. This has just left me so worried and scared.”
