Everybody is not lucky enough to get a date for prom.
It is one of the toughest things to do when you are in high school. Toughest in the sense that you have to gather the courage to ask someone to be your prom date. If they say yes, then you are good to go but if they ‘NO’ then it is the most embarrassing and hurtful moment.
This scenario goes when asking a classmate. Now imagine asking a celebrity to be your prom date.
It’s surely daunting, isn’t it? Well, for Katie kelzenberg, it doesn’t seem so. She is a senior student at Stillwater High School in Oklahoma. Anyone who knows her knows that she is a diehard fan of ‘The Rock’ aka Dwayne Johnson. Now you know where this is going!
There is no doubt that Dwayne is the most popular human being on this planet, he is a universal icon, and millions idolize him. But when it comes to crazy fans of The Rock, Katie might prove to be the craziest. Well, for starters, she knows his dialogues by-heart from most of the movies, has followed his wrestling career and celebrates his every social media post.
So, has his biggest fan, she asked Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to attend her high school prom as her date. She penned down a letter to the actor, asking him to be her date for the school prom.
Katie understands that he is a busy person and she would have forgiven him if he had forgotten her invitation. But in typical The Rock fashion, he responded! The Rock never lets his fans down.
One day at school, when everybody was attending a class, the loudspeakers started to read out the usual announcements. But this time, it wasn’t the usual voice, but it was the voice that Katie recognized very well.

It was The Rock’s voice. He had reached out to the school administration and recorded the daily announcements.
He started off by wishing the students to do well in every aspect and then turned towards Katie. Dwayne said that he is sorry that he couldn’t make it to the prom due to work commitments but it didn’t mean that he could upset his ‘best friend.’
He announced that he has a special gift for Katie. He announced – “I have rented out a theatre tomorrow and the theatre is Oakdale Cinemas which I believe is very close to you. So the gift is that I want you to grab all your favorite friends and all your closest family members whoever you want to bring Katie because tomorrow at 4:45, I am showing you a screening of my new movie Rampage and all the popcorn and candy and soda you could drink, it’s all on me.
Everything is free, and I want you to go have the greatest time.”
Well, if this isn’t best, then nothing is.
