Grandma Became The Surrogate Mother to Her Own Grandchild for Her Daughter


There are so many couples and parents in the world who go for this option when they are not able to carry their baby themselves.

This was the same problem for Tracey Smith who feared that she would never be able to give birth to her own child.

She desperately wanted her own baby and to help her in the situation, her 55 years old mother, Emma Miles stood up, who already has two of her own kids.

Tracey was born without a womb. She was diagnosed with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser Syndrome (MRKH) which made her incapable of giving birth or conceiving a child.

Emma Miles although was 55 years old but her womb was still working fine so the mother offered her daughter to be the surrogate mother to her grandkids and both the mother and the daughter were extremely happy with the decision.

Tracey although was not able to give birth but her ovaries were working fine and so with the help of IVF method, she with her husband created an embryo that was then planted inside her mother’s womb.

Mrs. Miles has had her menopause but she was able to carry the baby because the eggs were of her daughter and all she had to give was her womb that was healthy enough to carry a baby in it.

There is a very high risk of miscarriage in women who are older than 35 years of age. The risk is extremely high for both baby and the mother but Mrs. Miles desperately wanted to help her daughter who wanted to become a mother so she decided to take on the risk and go for surrogacy.
