For a mother, her children’s dream is the best ever thing to hear from their mouth. But for Anderson’s mom, the scenarios are somewhat different.
And she falls in the queue of those unfortunate mothers who cannot live long enough to witness her child’s dream to come true. Young Anderson happens to be a huge hockey and his favorite team happens to be the Montreal Canadiens. For him, one player of the team rises above everyone.
The ones who aren’t familiar with the sport might not know the prominence of Carey Price in this industry. However, this goalie happens to be that dream for Anderson which, later in this post, comes true right upon his first meet with Price.
This real story is about Anderson’s mother who went the while nine years to find the best possible way to make her son meet this legendary player.
Unfortunately, she was suffering from terminal cancer and soon passed away right before getting any chance to see her child meet this sports player.
A dying mother’s wish is something that’s unstoppable. Owning to her zeal of seeing Anderson meet his dream player, there were other people who carried forward.
Tammy Whitehead, Anderson’s aunt states that due to the generous friends they have, it was possible to make Anderson meet Price. While his mother didn’t get a chance to witness Anderson’s dream come true, the wish got fulfilled. It seems that the mother’s soul granted his child’s wish, and that’s how it was all possible.
The incident happened during the practice of Price. The interaction was indeed priceless for Anderson. His aunt states that he not only gave the boy a couple of signed sticks (two), signed his mini stick and jersey, but he also gave him world’s biggest hug.
There’s no denying how amazing this incident was for Anderson which cannot be put into words. However, it is Price’s warm heart that let his fan experience all his warm gestures. Calling him a wonderful person wouldn’t be an understatement, thus.
While this real story ends on a happy note, it’s still pre-dominantly a sad one. The tragedy lies in the passing away of the mother; leaving behind his small boy. While this athlete acted as the light in his dark world, it is inevitable for the boy to lose his mother at this young age.
However, at the end of the day, his mother’s soul rests in peace. Thanks to the amazing athlete who met the boy and showed his warm gestures.
