A scary footage has caught the moment a massive lorry gets sliced in half by a fast-moving freight train.

The horrific incident took place on Thursday, Sept. 6, in Chester, Virginia, when the trailer of the truck got stuck at the railroad crossing on the Curtis Street.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The incident was filmed by motorist Mike Eugene, who came there after seeing the lorry stuck over the tracks with the crossing lights flashing.

Eugene turned on his dashcam as soon as he witnessed the startling scene around 4.30pm.

The train soon came by and went straight through the trailer like ‘a knife through butter,’ as the men inside the lorry scrambled out to safety just in time.

The fast-moving train exploded through the trailer just like a bullet, sending its devastated structure booming out in all directions.

After the terrific collision, the front half of the lorry rolled away in a surprisingly intact condition. However, the same cannot be said for its rear half.

Eugene, who captured the scary collision on his dashcam, said: ‘[I] turned the corner to approach the crossing and found the tractor-trailer stopped on the tracks with the crossing guard down and the lights flashing.

‘The driver of the truck and a passenger were in the cab of the tractor up until a couple of seconds before the train hit. A third person was already out of the truck.

‘The train hit the trailer which must have cut the brake lines to the tractor which rolled off the road after impact. The driver emerged from the other side of the tractor once the train had stopped. No one, to my knowledge, was hurt.’

Eugene later told that the train was traveling ‘faster than a normal freight train goes through.’

‘It blew through like a knife in butter,’ he told WIRC. ‘It was so fast and it just exploded.’
