Rare Condition Is Making this Woman Age 8 Times Faster Than The Rest of Us


Benjamin Button is a disease that makes a person old way before then they actually should be.

This happens because their organs, as well as their entire body, ages way faster than the rest of the human kind because of the condition.

Most of the people suffering from this condition die at a very young age mostly when they are in their teenage or young adulthood. But this woman of 41 years of age is the longest known survivor with the condition.

Tiffany Wedekind is just 41 years old and has already lost most of her hair and is having tooth decay issue. She has been told by her doctors that she is one in 50 million people because she was diagnosed with progeria. The disease only affects 156 children in the entire world and Tiffany became one of them.

The one remarkable thing about her case was that she was diagnosed with her condition in her 20s when most people with this condition bids goodbye to the world by the age of 13 to 14.

She is different and remarkable because the condition in most of the people is identified when they are just very young kids. She is 41 right now and it is believed that she is the longest living survivor with the condition. The longest known survivor by far was Leon Botha, who was 26 years old before his death.

She is not the only one in the family who suffers from this medical condition. Her mother Linda has the same gene that is responsible for this condition but she has never suffered from any of its symptoms.

Tiffany’s brother Chad had the same disease and passed away 7 years ago when he was 39 years old. Now Tiffany’s family is scared that they will lose Tiffany to the disease too.
