A gang full of burglars were caught on a cheeky doorbell camera and were trying to barge in the house of Manmeet Singh.
During that moment, Manmeet wasn’t present in the house, but her daughter and mother were inside the home. The father saw the act on his phone and immediately dialed 999 but was of no use because the intruders fled away from the scene and police couldn’t react properly.
The mother of Manmeet and his 8-year-old daughter had to hide in the shed of their house because the thieves ransacked the place and took away the expensive jewelry.
Mr. Manmmet Singh said that his suspicions are on the cleaner that he hired recently. The five-bed homeowner told that there is a fair chance of this being linked with the act of burglary in his house.
The house of Manmeet has always been a target for looting. Previously, in the last five years, a minimum of four burglary attempts have been made on his house. The series of unfortunate incidents over the years have led the man to invest good money in installing the CCTV devices.
Manmeet Singh, who is an accountant by profession, received an alert on his phone on Friday at around 8:20 pm. The notification said that there is somebody at his south London home’s door.
The grandmother was quick enough to take her granddaughter to a safe place. The intruders were able to break the door and in the beginning, they started to look for rooms before ransacking the entire home.
The police reached the spot but couldn’t stop the burglars from running away, and when asked to why that happened, they said they weren’t able to apprehend the suspects.
The thieves escaped in front of the police in a BMW when they arrived. The officers who came said that the reason why they weren’t able to chase the suspects was that the driver wasn’t trained for chasing situations.
The police complaint has been filed, and no arrests have been made until now. The investigation is still running its course.
