People Raised More Than $200,000 For Woman Who Helped Feed Over 1,600 People In Need As Her Land Was Salted

A woman who helped feed more than 1,600 people in need by using her land to grow vegetables and fruits broke down in tears as her land was salted.

Carly Burd from the UK used her land to produce food for those who needed help during the hard times, and she fed over 1,600 people.

But there were some people who did not like her kindness and decided to pour salt over her land to stop crops from growing.

Sharing her situation on social media, Carly broke down in tears and said: “Everything I’ve planted won’t grow, and I can’t replant on it because it won’t grow.

“The amount of work — I can’t even begin to tell you — that’s gone into that allotment, it’s unbelievable.”

But the kindhearted woman said that what happened won’t stop her from helping those in need and vows to continue her ‘A Meal on Me With Love’ initiative.

People were quick to offer their messages of support, with many asking how they could help.

One person commented: “Can I help? I’m a gardener and I live 10 mins from Harlow. Please let me know somehow and I’ll help fix it.”

A GoFundMe page has also been setup to raise money for the Good Samaritan and her land and it has raised more than $210,000.

“I know how hard its going to be this winter with cost of living. So I transformed my garden into an allotment to provide those on benefits, pensioners on state pension & those on a low income FREE organic fruit and vegetables plus essentials,” the description read.
