Queer Eye star Tan France and his husband Rob announced that they are expecting their second together, two years after they welcomed their first child.
According to PEOPLE, the pair found out that their surrogate was pregnant last year but decided to wait for a few months before making the announcement.
Tan said of the moment they were informed about the happy news: “We were over the moon. It was the best feeling ever.”
The 39-year-old star continued: “I mean, it felt almost as shocking as the first time. I was overjoyed, in tears, I couldn’t believe that it had finally happened again. It was just the most incredible feeling.”
He also explained how he and his husband wanted to give their son Ismail a sibling.
“We wanted him to have someone that will be his person that he’s tethered to. I’m really close with my siblings and my husband is really close with his, so we wanted to create a family where [our child] would have more support other than just Rob and I,” he said.
Tan added: “We are so excited about Ismail having a sibling, but the most exciting part is that he will have somebody hopefully for the rest of his life that he gets to call his person.”
The couple already have a name for their second child as they already know the gender.
“I always knew these two names that I loved the most. And so thankfully, Rob loves them also,” he said of their children’s names. “We’re on track to call our baby this name.”
Tan also said that he and Rob have a great relationship with the surrogate, describing her as an ‘incredible woman.’
