A young woman admitted she was worried for her safety after getting confronted by her “psycho” neighbor.
The 31-year-old lady in question revealed that she was confronted by her older neighbor down the street as she went for a stroll with her newborn baby.
She also explained that she’s never before seen the man and his wife or talked to either party.
Needless to say, the new mom was in for a major shock when the man stormed out of his house and accused her of ruining his marriage saying she was “trying to flirt with him” by wearing leggings and shorts while passing by his home.
“I have gone on walks around my neighborhood with my stroller for the past year after giving birth. Today, as I was reaching the end of my street, I was confronted by one of my neighbors. He was outside of his house and asked if I had a moment to speak,” the woman explained in her candid Reddit post.
“My neighbor confronted me about straining his marriage, and proceeded to tell me that him and his wife knew what I was doing by constantly walking by their house in ‘inappropriate clothing like see through leggings and inappropriate shorts.’”
The woman added: “[He said] I should immediately stop all attempts because it was frustrating him and his spouse. I was beside myself and absolutely rooted to the spot in shock.
“I have never even exchanged a single word with this man, and I have never even seen this man at all! I didn’t think I was dressing inappropriately by wearing regular running shorts or leggings. I am not out to seek any kind of attention on these walks since it’s one of the only times I find a little peace and exercise, and I even usually try to avoid small talk because I kind of suck at it.”
Concluding her recollection of the bizarre encounter, the woman admitted she feels “ashamed” and “awkward” after being accused of all those terrible things despite doing nothing but minding her business.
She also admitted she has since chosen a different path for her walks to avoid a potential confrontation with the enraged neighbor.
After asking the internet for advice, the mother was quickly flooded with words of support from baffled viewers who couldn’t believe what they’d just read.
“Either this guy got caught ogling you, his wife is jealous of your appearance, or both. Either way, that’s on them, not you. Just keep doing your thing, because these fools don’t own the neighborhood,” someone suggested.
“This guy and his wife sound like whack jobs. From what you describe, it sounds like there is nothing wrong with your attire,” another said.
Other users went on to urge the young woman to carry pepper spray for protection in case the “crazy” neighbor tried to hurt her.
