Natalie Portman’s husband Benjamin Millepied is now fighting to save his marriage after he allegedly had an affair with a younger woman.
According to the French outlet Voici, the alleged affair was with a 25-year-old climate activist.
An insider confirmed to the Daily Mail that the couple are still together, with a source telling PEOPLE that the affair is now ‘over.’
The insider also claimed that Millepied knows his mistake and was trying to repair the damage with his wife.
Portman, 41, and her husband, 45, tied the knot in 2012. A source previously claimed that they had separated in 2022 before reuniting.
However, their marriage started to fall apart again after the Oscar-winning actress discovered the affair in March.
Matters also became complicated when photos published online show Millipied with Camille Etienne, 25.
A source said that the couple are now ‘trying to work things out.’
“Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and their family,” Page Six’s source said, adding that the actress is “incredibly private” about her marriage problems.
“Her biggest focus right now is protecting the kids,” they added.
The issue with the couple’s marriage was reported during the filming of Portman’s upcoming movie May December, which is directed by Todd Haynes.
The movie received positive reviews after its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, with fans praising all three leads – including Charles Melton and Julianne Moore.
Portman and Millepied were reportedly still together at the time and they were also spotted attending Beyonce’s concert in Paris on May 26. They were also seen sharing a kiss on May 29.
According to Voici, Portman had discovered the alleged affair in March this year.
