Sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have claimed that the couple would be ‘annihilated’ if they committed the same photoshop mistake as the Princess of Wales’ Mother’s Day edited portrait.
Kate Middleton previously apologized ‘for any confusion’ caused by the edited photo released by Kensington’s Palace.
The first official image shared since the mother-of-three’s surgery has sparked a global frenzy as experts identified multiple edits.
A source now said that it was not a mistake Meghan would ever make because of her ‘freakish attention to detail’ and claimed that the Sussexes would’ve been ‘annihilated’ if they made the same mistake.
“If Harry and Meghan had ever encountered the same issue they would have been annihilated. The same rules do not apply to both couples,” the source claimed.
“This isn’t a mistake that Meghan would ever make … she has a keen eye and freakish attention to detail.”
According to reports, Kensington Palace aids have spent weeks planning to release Kate’s photo to stop speculations about her condition following her planned abdominal surgery.
However, the blunder caused another explosion of vicious social media conspiracy theories.
Speaking to MailOnline, former BBC royal correspondent Michael Cole said that the Sussexes will be enjoying the Princess of Wales’ despairs.
“They will be laughing up their sleeves, trying to keep a straight face in public,” he said. “Their point man Omid Scobie has been throwing mud pies for them.”
