Ali Wong has become one of the household names, thanks to the popularity of her new show on Netflix, Beef.
But just like the rest of us, the 40-year-old actress also adores Matrix actor Keanu Reeves.
Fortunately for the star, she had an opportunity to work with Reeves and even got to kiss him in her 2019 film Always Be My Maybe.
The movie, which was written by Wong herself, shows her character rekindling her romance with a teenage fling.
Her character also gets to makeout with many other male stars.
In a 2019 interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the actress said: “I kiss a lot of men. It’s like, who wrote this movie, right? I kiss a lot of sexy men. I kiss Daniel Dae Kim. I kiss Keanu Reeves.”
Wang also admitted that she managed to convince Netflix to spend more money on the film so she could kiss Keanu Reeves.
“I basically made Netflix spend all this money on a movie just so I could kiss Daniel Dae Kim and Keanu Reeves,” Wang told Ellen.
She also joked that she did not have a problem conjuring the chemistry needed to kiss Dae Kim and Reeves as she had been married to ex-husband Justin Hakuta for ten years when the film was made.
“I’ve been with the same dude for 10 years. I would have chemistry with a turtle at this point,” she joked.
Reeves appears in the film for only a short cameo but it is an interesting and funny moment knowing how far Wong went to get the actor.
One person commented: “I’m a writer and I would do the same thing for Brad Pitt!”
