Man Married For 23 Years Drives A ‘Just DIVORCED Car’ To Attract Single Women And Asks Them To Honk Their Horns If They’re Available

A 58-year-old dad who was married for more than two decades drives a ‘Just Divorced car’ in an attempt to attract single women.

Angus Kennedy wanted to celebrate his newfound singledom by giving his car a makeover.

The father-of-five wanted to raise awareness about the process of divorce and said that it can also be a ‘celebration’ instead of ‘doom and gloom.’

“Divorce doesn’t always have to be doom and gloom – it can be a celebration of a new start,” Kennedy said.

“Me and Sophie are still friends – the relationship just broke down. But there is no animosity there.

“The final order went through in January so I thought doing the car up would be a funny way to celebrate.”

It was in July 2021 when they decided to go separate ways. To celebrate, he drove his 2004 Subaru Outback with words such as ‘honk if you’re single’ and ‘freedom’ on it.

He explained that he designed and ordered his own ‘Just Divorced’ sticker and added ribbons and roses on the bonnet.

But he added that he was not making an ‘anti-marriage campaign.’

“You’ve got to love yourself before expecting someone to love you,” he continued.”

Kennedy and Sophie kept a good relationship and they share custody of their five children.

“I wanted to have an amicable divorce to show our children that it was possible to stay friends,” the supportive ex-wife said.

“It was very important for me to show them a good example. We spend Christmas and Easter together as well as birthdays – and family dinners every so often for a catch up are a must.

“The car thing is funny, and to be honest, I wouldn’t expect anything less from him.”
