Turner personally made the said wish in her interview with The Guardian on April 9 when she was asked how she wanted to be remembered.

“As the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. As a woman who showed other women that it is OK to strive for success on their own terms,” Tina replied.

Brave as she was, she went on to say that “nothing” about getting older scared her even though she underwent a string of medical complications – including intestinal cancer, kidney disease, and a stroke – in the last decade.

“This is life’s full adventure and I embrace and accept every day with what it brings,” the musician added.

Tina is survived by two sons and her loving husband, Erwin Bach, whom she married in 2013 after first meeting him at a German airport back in 1985.

Calling the record executive her love at first sight, Tina previously said: “The day I first met Erwin, at an airport in Germany, I should have been too tired from my flight, too preoccupied with thoughts of my concert tour.

“But I did notice him, and I instantly felt an emotional connection. Even then, I could have ignored what I felt — I could have listened to the ghost voices in my head telling me that I didn’t look good that day, or that I shouldn’t be thinking about romance because it never ends well.

“Instead, I listened to my heart. I left my comfort zone and made it a priority to get to know Erwin. That simple first meeting led to a long, beautiful relationship — and my one true marriage.”
