The outcry and controversy surrounding trans athlete Lia Thomas have reportedly reached a peak as many condemn the inclusion of biological boys in the world of female sports.

Last week, Lia Thomas won the NCCA women’s championship that was held in Atlanta. But despite the victory, so many felt that it was a matter that shouldn’t be recognized or celebrated as so many felt the decision was unfair, to begin with.

Others spoke about how it was clear that the runner-up was the true winner and that’s exactly what the latter got a round of applause across the board.

Lia is the first-ever open trans athlete to gain a trophy in America when it comes to university sports. But so many feel that the time has come to shun fantasies and accept realities before it’s too late.

One such example relates to a mother who says her daughter’s performance during swimming practice made her realize one thing.

And that was how years of hard work just might go down the drain if you’re bound to compete with a biological male who has suppressed his hormones to appear as a female.

Images are going viral as we speak as the mega 6ft 1in swimmer is pictured dwarfing other competitors like flies while beaming with delight on the national podium.

“The time has come for dejected females to take a stance and unite. Many are experiencing greater self-doubt and that isn’t something that can be forgotten”- explained another female who strongly disagreed with Lia’s win.

While many continue to support the inclusion of trans athletes in the world of sports, others feel there needs to be a better way out that doesn’t comprise others’ hard work along the way.

After all, it’s going to be hard to see so many quitting a sport that they once called their first love. Do you agree?
