The family of the man who was reportedly killed by Walgreens’ security guard after being spotted shoplifting is finally breaking their silence on the matter.
They claim the behavior is absolutely unacceptable and it’s just something that they cannot come to terms with.
Now, they’re demanding justice from authorities as they feel the punishment to make things equal would only be the death sentence of the killer who took their loved one’s life.
The victim was identified as a 24-year-old Black trans man named Banko Brown who happened to be shopping at the leading store that’s located in San Francisco.
This happened to be toward the end of April when he had been stopped by the leading shop’s security official and accused of shoplifting. The matter did not take too much time to escalate and before anyone knew it, he was shot dead.
The actual shooting took place right outside the store and it’s being called out as beyond heartbreaking by those who happened to be standing nearby, calling it the most horrific and senseless crime that could have been dealt with in a less aggressive manner.
The victim’s family says he was targeted for being a trans individual and certainly did not deserve to die in this tragic manner. They feel they deserve justice because such killings in broad daylight are against the country’s law and there is no justification whatsoever for such behavior.
Shocking footage from the crime saw the guard put the victim into a state of absolute chokehold. He is forced to the ground and can be seen yelling for help with no one to intervene.
Horrifying new footage from the incident in San Francisco saw the guard first abuse and then beat him up and in the end, he shoots at him too, leaving him with critical injuries that cause him to die in no time.
