The 81-year-old grandmother who made headlines after marrying her toyboy lover that was 46 years junior to him is now giving updates about her life.
While she may be happy and moving on with her life, the same cannot be said about her loved ones who are finding it extremely unbelievable and unforgiving for what she has done.
They are now giving her the silent treatment and just aren’t ready for her to come back and live with them because she went against their advice and did what she felt was right.
The pair first made headlines a few years back when they opted to tie the knot in Egypt and celebrate the wedding at KFC.
Iris Jones who is 81 and hails from the UK met her lover Mohamed through a Facebook group. The latter is just 35 but the duo instantly hit it off and since then, they’ve been talking nonstop.
The duo claims they fell head over heels for each other and just can’t get over one another. But people failed to see what they had in common and the age difference was just too much. But according to them, age is just a number and despite what trolls may say, they continued to go strong and are now in a great space together.
But ever since the pair got married, the 81-year-old gran says she has lost all contact with her loved ones. They just are not ready to speak to her and it does bother her sometimes because family is really everything.
Iris hopes to return to the United Kingdom in December but before that date emerges, she is really looking forward to getting into contact with them because she just cannot imagine them ignoring her for so long, especially when she happens to be in a very happy space right now.
